How to reach Papikondalu

The natural beauty of Papikondalu will be lost if Polavaram project comes through.
Papikondalu are situated in Eastern Ghats. The river Godavari flows through Papikondalu. This is the place from where Alluri Sitharama Raju has fought the Britishers. He fought Britishers with the help of Koya people and by raiding police stations for weapons.
Reaching Papikondalu:
From Rajahmundry: Rajahmundry can be reached by train, bus or by air from Hyderabad. There are budget hotels where one can stay at Rajahmundry. From Rajahmundry laanchila revu one can take the motor boat or laanchi to Papikondalu. The boat starts at around 9 aAM or 9-30 AM and it passes through Polavaram, Pattiseema, Perantalapalli, Devarakonda and reaches papikondalu. One can stay the night at papikondalu or return back to Rajahmundry. The cruise operators provide breakfast, lunch and dinner in the boat. They charge around INR 500 for individuals. If one opts for independent boat with 25 seats capacity they charge around INR 15,000. From Rajahmundry one can reach bhadrachalam by evening through Papikondalu.
From Pattiseema or Polavaram: Polavaram and Pattiseema are near by and or on the west side of river Godavari. One can take the motor boat from either of these places.

irctc ( indian railway catering and tourism corporation has introduced two tours to rajahmundry and papikondalu
tour 1: this tours starts from secunderabad- rajahmundry, polavaram, papikondalu, koyyada, bhadrachalam, dwarakatirumala, rajahmundry- secunderabad.
the tour starts at secunderabad on fridays at 9-15 p.m by 2738, gauthami express and reaches on monday at 6-15 a.m by return 2737 gauthami expressto secunderabadstay will be at rajahmundry it reaches to polavaram from rajahmundry. from polavaram a motor boat takes the tourists to papikondalu and koyyada. from koyyada the non ac bus takes the passengers to bhadrachalam and night stay will be at bhadrachalam. darsan of lord rama at bhadrachalam and to parnasala, jangareddy gudem, dwarakatirumal and reaches rajahmundry.
tour 2: the tours covers only godavari
it covers purushothama patnam, papikondalu, kolluru, papikondalu, perantalapalli, rajahmundry and secunderabad.
