The devotees visiting lord Venkateswara at Tirumala Tirupati can know the status and book for advance reservation of accommodation at TTD cottages, guest houses and rooms by phone.
TTD have implemented a PIC ( Pilgrim Information Centre) in association with HCL to keep the pilgrims visiting lord Balaji at Tirumala informed about the darshan, sevas, accommodation of rooms and cottages , travel and other facilities available at TTD ( Thirumala Thirupathi Devastanam) Temple on a 24×7 basis by phone. The pilgrims can access about the facilities like darshan of lord balaji at tirumala temple and rooms availability at TTD Cottages through a phone call.
Pilgrims to Tirumala can book tickets for Sevas and darshan three days in advance. PIC provides Information on all services by TTD including darshan, donations, Sevas , accommodation, travel and tenders called by Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams is offered through this new phone system. PIC also provides Information of money sent through DD to TTD.
The HCL has developed the technology for TTD and is maintaining it free of cost. The executives and supervisors at PIC are trained to speak and to receive calls in Telugu, English, Kannada Hindi and Tamil languages that come from all over the world.
This system of e-booking at tirumala is to facilitate the pilgrims of lord balaji.The pilgrims have to dial 0877- 22 77777 or 2233333 to get information about bookings. The pilgrims have to carry address proof and photo ID along with them at the time of darshan at lord venkateswara at tirumala when they have booked darshan and seva booking through phone. Arjitha Seva server connects to PIC on the internet and information about darshan can be had for 5 years.
The e-darshan and sevas booking can be had for minimum of 3 days to maximum of 90 days in advance. Tirumala Tirupathi Devastanam board authorities send a confirmation letter to the address given by the devotees after confirmation of payment by TTD.
